Forgive them for your own good rather than theirs, if that’s what you need to do. If they do it again, that’s on them.

If we profess to love others as much as we love ourselves, then too must we also learn forgiveness and being merciful, for doing the things one does not wish to do and saying the things one does not wish to say.
